Audit an answer before it goes in the MLS
Lesson 2 of 5 · Run your week
By the end you can take any AI draft about a home, list every factual claim in it, and mark each one with the record that backs it or the words [FILL IN].
1 · Learn the move · Fact-check list
In this door, 'invented' has a specific shape. A bonus room or a screened porch that is not in the listing. 1,840 square feet rounded up to 2,000. A school zone the model guessed from the street name. An HOA fee that sounds right. A comp at the right price on the wrong street. None of it reads as a lie; it reads as a listing. The audit is a list, not a feeling. Pull every claim out of the draft, one per line, and next to each one write the record that proves it: the MLS sheet, the tax record, the seller disclosure, the HOA documents, the measured floor plan. A claim with no record gets [FILL IN], and the draft does not go anywhere until every [FILL IN] is gone. The model can build the list for you. It cannot fill in a single record. Draft copy, not legal advice. Reviewed by: nobody yet.
Here is a draft listing description: [paste]. List every factual claim in it, one per line: rooms, sizes, ages, fees, schools, distances, features, dates. Next to each, write which record would prove it (MLS sheet / tax record / seller disclosure / HOA docs / floor plan / other). Do not tell me whether the claim is true; you cannot know. Mark any claim that a listing often gets wrong with a star. End with the count of claims and the records I need to open.
What invented means on this door
Invented, in this door, means any fact about the home or the area that the source data does not show: square footage, lot size, year built, school zones, HOA terms, taxes, a feature in a photo that is not in the house, or a line about who would live there. If it is not in the listing file, the tax card or a document you can open, it is invented, and it comes out before the copy is published.
2 · Your turn. You write the prompt
The seller loved the draft description. It mentions a bonus room over the garage, 'nearly 2,000 square feet', the elementary school two blocks away, and 'low HOA dues'. You wrote none of those words. You are about to paste it into the MLS, and the listing goes live at 6 am.
Write the prompt for this scenario as given, or swap in a real one from your own work. The score works the same either way.
Remember: the AI sees only your prompt, not this page. If the situation isn't in your prompt, it doesn't exist.
Optional. These shape the output when you run your prompt below, not your score.
